Where do I work?

The long answer is that I have easy access to the southern Thailand provinces:

Krabi - Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Ao Nang, Railay
Phang Nga - Koh Yao, Khao Lak, Khao Sok
Phuket
Surat Thani - Koh Pangnan, Koh Tao, Koh Samui
Nakorn Sri Thammarat
Trang - Koh Mook, Koh Ngai, Lao Liang, Koh Rok

The shorter answer is I am actually prepared to travel wherever I am needed, whether it be locally, throughout Thailand, South East Asia or the rest of the world!

Photographic Style

An all too common mistake is believing that owning an expensive or
professional camera will deliver beautiful photographs.

A camera is merely a tool as a brush, paint and a palette is to an artist. I
see photography as any other art form - reliant on the talent and eye of
the artist. My canvas is anything that catches my eye. I love the rawness of
capturing an actual moment in time.

I am fanatical about my work. My inspiration comes from countless things;
for example, an unusual angle or interesting shadow and like to make the
best from the natural light available.

For portraits and weddings, I particularly like capturing candid moments for
portraits and weddings. Making your subjects feel comfortable is key to
enable you to blend into the background to allow you to secure that split
second of a personal moment which encapsulates true love and feelings.

This is also true of taking photographs of a local community, to understand
and appreciate what they have experienced. Are they sad, content,
destitute or have they just encountered a tragedy or joyous news? The
camera very rarely lies.

They say a picture can speak a thousand words, and that’s exactly what I
focus on when I compose a shot. By observing every little detail, I can
capture the real essence and spontaneity of beautiful, magical and awe-
inspiring moments behind the shutter.

I enjoy every aspect of my job from editorial, weddings, events and
commercial photographic projects to finding those once-in-a-lifetime
opportunities which provide the images for my fine art and image rental
collections.

Photography can demand an enormous amount of patience, and Thai’s are
generally very calm and tolerant people, which I believe is a valuable asset
to any photographer, especially when trying to capture a specific shot.
